LOCAL PROGRAMS

            1.  SACC provides financial support to local agencies like Christian Community Action (CCA) and Metrocrest Social Services.

            2.  Encourage and promote active involvement of SACC members as volunteers by sharing information about community events.  (e.g. Volunteers serving at the CCA Food Pantry each month;  annual Shoes for Kids program)

            3.  Provide leadership for community events whenever possible.

            4.  Support the work of local groups that use the facilities of SACC, like the Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society and the Carrollton Police Academy Alumni Association.

            5.  Coordinate disaster relief efforts of the congregation for local emergencies.

CHRISTIAN CHURCH (DOC) PROGRAMS

            1.  Budget for and provide regular, monthly financial support to the North Texas Area of the Christian Church.

            2.  Provide additional financial support to the Disciples Mission Fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

EDUCATION FOR MISSION

            1.  Provide education materials and experiences to broaden and deepen each member’s understanding of human needs in our world.

            2.  Encourage the Youth of SACC to be involved in Heifer International and other non profit, global organizations. 

            3.  Promote the annual CROP Walk and the annual Relay for Life events among the membership of the church.

            4.  Provide a monthly article for the church newsletter.

SPECIAL OFFERINGS

            1.  Review requests for Special Offerings sent to the congregation by the denomination.

            2.  Select at least four or more of the Offerings for promotion at SACC during the year.  (e.g. Week of Compassion;  Pentecost;  Thanksgiving;  and, Christmas)

            3.  Place envelopes for Special Offerings in the pew pockets and display theme materials on the bulletin board(s).
